We blend early childhood education with hands-on agricultural experiences to help young learners grow strong, confident, and grounded—both academically and emotionally. Our goal is not only to inspire a lifelong love of learning, but to prepare every child for a smooth and successful transition into primary school and the community.

The heart behind The Growing Grove is Alisa Millett—local resident, kindergarten teacher in the district, proud mom of two toddlers, and a dedicated educator with over eight years of experience in early childhood and elementary education. Alisa’s passion for teaching and deep understanding of educational standards come from firsthand experience—both in the classroom and as a parent. She was honored as “Teacher of the Month” in the category of Building Relationships, a recognition that speaks to her gift for creating strong, trust-filled connections with both children and families. Nominated for H-E-B’s Excellence in Education award, Alisa continues to show her passion and love for growing children in our community.

Alisa has spent two years as an academic interventionist, a role that sharpened her ability to identify and support students’ areas of struggle while nurturing their strengths. She takes pride in consistently fostering classrooms full of young readers, mathematician and learners who are not only academically prepared, but confident and curious. Through The Growing Grove, Alisa is excited to give back to her community by offering high-quality care, education, and agricultural experiences that honor the whole child.
